From the direction of Rostock... 1st variant (shortest route)

• along the B105 to Stralsund, towards the island of Rügen
• over the Rügen Bridge onto the B96N to Samtens
• in Samtens take the exit Insel Hiddensee towards Gingst, then to Trent
• in Trent turn right to the Wittow car ferry, cross over and continue to the port of Wiek

(Rostock-Stralsund approx. 75 km; Stralsund-Wiek (Rügen) approx. 52 km).

Alternative option: Warnow car ferry
 

From Rostock... 2nd alternative (motorway)

• along the A20 motorway in the direction of Stettin to the "Stralsund/ Rügen" exit,
• continue on the "Rügenzubringer" (B96N) to Stralsund, in the direction of the island of Rügen
• over the Rügen Bridge onto the B96N to Samtens (Rügen), in Samtens take the Insel Hiddensee exit in the direction of Gingst, then to Trent
• in Trent turn right to the Wittow car ferry, cross over and continue to the port of Wiek

(Rostock-Stralsund approx. 95 km; Stralsund-Wiek (Rügen) approx. 52 km).

Alternative: Rügen car ferry (April - October)

From Berlin...

• along the A20 motorway in the direction of Stralsund/Lübeck to the Stralsund/Rügen exit,
• continue on the "Rügenzubringer" (B96N) to Stralsund, in the direction of the island of Rügen
• over the Rügen Bridge onto the B96N to Samtens (Rügen),
• in Samtens take the Insel Hiddensee exit in the direction of Gingst, then to Trent
• in Trent turn right to the Wittow car ferry, cross over and continue to the port of Wiek.

Alternative option: Rügen car ferry (April - October).
